Rank Authority Levels

Nexus Space Command

The highest echelon of Nexus Space Command. Holds ultimate authority over organization-wide strategy, multi-branch deployments, and supreme administrative decisions.

Authority over group organization, operational tasks, and policy enforcement within their respective domains. Promotion authority for enlisted personnel.

Highly technical specialists and trusted "regulars." Spectre Operators represent the highest enlisted tier, while Spectres hold core organizational privileges.

Active, proven members of the organization with access to specialized operations. Operator levels are eligible to apply for formal branch assignments.

Entry Level

Baseline access to general organization channels. Serves as a probationary period for new recruits to prove their dedication to the core values.

Promotions & Demotions

Promotion Criteria

A combination of time-in-grade, general organizational presence, active operation attendance, completed training/certifications, and positive contributions to the community.

Time-in-Grade

Generally required to build tenure, but exceptional service can accelerate promotions at the sole discretion of Command.

Rank Reduction

Ranks can be reduced for extended periods of unexplained inactivity to protect server security, or if a member fails to adhere to the code of conduct.

Inactive Leaders

Prolonged inactivity results in a structured warning, step-down to suspended status, and subsequent demotion to a baseline enlisted rank (e.g., Spectre Operator) to minimize account compromise risks.

Chain of Command

  • Conflicting Orders: Orders from the highest-ranking officer supersede all others. Prioritize actions that safely ensure the completion of the objective.

  • Absence of Leadership: If senior leaders are unavailable, the highest-ranking officer or Spectre Operator present assumes operational command.

  • Bypassing Superiors: Only justified if an immediate superior is actively misguiding the group away from the objective, or ordering actions that violate core tenets.

  • Multi-Branch Authority: Explicitly restricted to Command Officers and Nexus Space Command Staff.

  • Disputes: Leaders must maintain a unified front publicly. Disputes must be handled privately in dedicated staff mediation meetings.

  • Strategic Deployments: Authorized solely by Nexus Space Command Staff.
